Credit Suisse Appoints Former APAC Head To Lead Emerging Markets

Switzerland's number two bank expands in the emerging markets.
Credit Suisse has appointed
Rob Jesudason as head of the newly-created global emerging
markets team within the financial institutions group, as the
Swiss bank expands in the high-growth region.
Jesudason has been with the bank since 2007 as head of the APAC
financial institutions group. He remains in Hong Kong for the
role, which takes effect immediately. The global emerging markets
unit spans Credit Suisse's current financial institutions
coverage Asia-Pacific, Central & Eastern Europe, Middle East and
Africa, and Latin America.
Simon Yuan and
Nicolo Salsana have also been appointed as co-heads of
the APAC financial institutions group. Yuan was previously the
head of the Greater China FIG, while Salsano was with the EMEA
FIG.
Credit Suisse's global emerging markets franchise has been seeing
growth over the last year, reporting that it has bolstered its
position to number one in terms of share-of-wallet at 8.5 per
cent market share, up from from the number two spot in 2010. Its
global institutions franchise is number five in share-of-wallet
with a 7.7 per cent market share.
