Credit Agricole Buys Luxembourg Private Banking Business

Credit Agricole has agreed to acquire the private banking and asset management business of the Luxembourg-based businesses of Dutch financial company Achmea Holding. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. Credit Agricole is buying Achmea's deposit banking, fund management and private banking units currently managed by Banque Colbert under an arrangement between Colbert and Achmea. The units will be taken over by the French bank's Luxembourg-based Credit Agricole Investor Services Bank Luxembourg, which will soon be renamed CACEIS Bank Luxembourg.
