U.S. Wealth Management dumps AIG, adds National Financial. U.S. Wealth Management (USWM), a Braintree, Mass.-based company that provides tools and services to help certified public accountants (CPAs) become financial planners and investment advisors, has brought in a new clearing and custody provider and brought its brokerage platform inhouse.

Fidelity Investments’ National Financial will provide custody and clearing service to U.S. Advisors U.S. Wealth Advisors, USWM’s new broker-dealership. USWM’s old brokerage platform U.S. Advisors had been part of AIG SunAmerica’s broker-dealer network.

Against a backdrop of consolidation in the introducing broker space, the deal with National Financial “ensures that our firm’s culture and values are a driving force of our success,” says USWM’s president and CEO John Napolitano. “Our advisors look to us to bring the industry’s best practices, tools and services to them for the benefit of their clients.” –FWR
