Coutts Southeast Asia Investment Head Leaves

Susan Chua, the head of investments for Southeast Asia at Coutts, has left, following a wider reorganisation at the RBS-owned wealth manager.

Singapore-based Chua spent 8 years in the role and left last year, confirmed a spokesman. It is not yet clear where she has gone.

"There isn’t a direct replacement per se as the roles emerging from the re-organisation will change," said a source close to the bank.

Last week the bank announced the hire of Arjun Mittal as regional head of its NRI business from Swiss rival Sarasin, to head the Middle East and European markets. Mittal will be based in Dubai.

Coutts is owned by UK government-backed lender Royal Bank of Scotland. Last year the wealth manager rebranded to drop the ‘RBS’ from its name. Coutts' parent recently announced a far-reaching cost-cutting programme, involving the loss of 3,500 jobs.
