Coutts Names Associate Director In Channel Islands

Coutts, the wealth management brand of Royal Bank of Scotland, has named Scott Le Flour as an associate director in the Channel Islands.

Le Flour, who is now based in Jersey, has been with RBS since 2002 and Coutts specifically since 2007. Before his Channel Islands appointment he managed UK resident, non-domiciled clients.

In his new role Le Flour will be serving existing Channel Islands clients and raising the profile of Coutts locally to grow the business, the firm said. Coutts, which has been present in Jersey for some forty years now, is believed to have around 1,200 Channel Islands clients.

“Scott is already well known to many of our local clients and has established connections with RBS International which will be key as we continue to raise the profile of Coutts and the breadth of wealth management services that we offer,” said Richard Tribe, Coutts’ director for the Channel Islands.

In other recent hires, earlier this month Coutts announced that it had lured high-profile finance writer Paul Farrow from the world of journalism to take up the role of editor, products and services.

Farrow was latterly personal finance editor at The Telegraph Media Group, a role in which he edited one of the UK’s biggest personal finance sections including the Daily Telegraph’s Your Money supplement; the Sunday Telegraph’s Money section and the Telegraph Media Group’s Money website.

Coutts has in fact been busily expanding its products and services team, making 14 senior hires in the UK and Asia since April this year.
