Coutts Makes Top-Level Tax, Wealth Structuring Hire

Coutts has made another top-level tax and wealth structuring appointment.
Coutts, the wealth management arm of Royal Bank of Scotland, has named Armando Rosselli as executive director, head of tax and wealth structuring international, recruiting him from Credit Suisse.
Rosselli was latterly head of wealth planning at Credit Suisse; before this he held various wealth planning roles at its big Swiss rival UBS, both in Switzerland and the UK.
In his new role Rosselli will be based in London, reporting to Steve Griffiths, managing director and head of tax and wealth structuring, who himself only joined Coutts at the start of May. Griffiths was latterly managing director, head of wealth planning at Credit Suisse and before that was managing director, head of UK wealth planning at UBS.
“Tax and wealth structuring is a key area of development for Coutts, especially as our clients’ requirements in tax, fiduciary and estate planning become increasingly important in international markets. Armando’s appointment is a milestone in building the tax and wealth structuring global strategy, and he will work very closely with me in developing and executing this,” Griffiths said in a statement.
Rosselli’s hire continues a run of senior appointments made by Coutts in recent months both internationally and domestically.
One of the bank’s most high-profile recent hires was that of industry veteran Gary Dugan - formerly chief investment officer at Emirates NBD - for the role of chief investment officer for Asia and the Middle East.
Dugan’s appointment came only days after the blue-blooded bank named Paul Sarosy as head of investment solutions. He was formerly head of UK domestic clients at Credit Suisse.
