UK-based Coutts said it has appointed Alistair James as a senior private banker to its Monaco team, after having most recently worked at Lloyds TSB Private Banking.

Mr James will focus on working with the business and UK expat community in the principality. Among his previous jobs has been that of a management consultant at Prudential.

Coutts opened its Monaco office in July 2002. The bank is owned by Royal Bank of Scotland.
