Continental, Pan-European Equities Head Exits F&C

F&C Investments has confirmed the resignation of Paras Anand, the head of its Continental European and pan-European equities teams.

Anand is expected to depart the firm after a six-month handover period during which he will continue to manage the mandates he currently co-runs, the F&C European Growth & Income Fund and the European Assets Trust, along with F&C Institutional Europe Fund, for which he is lead manager. He has been with F&C since 2007, when he joined from Deutsche Asset Management, where he had headed the German giant’s European equities team in New York and ran the DWS Europe Equity Fund.

Anand is to join Fidelity Worldwide Investment as head of pan-European equities, as reported elsewhere by this publication today; his replacement at F&C will be announced in due course, a spokesperson told WealthBriefing.

Turning to moves into F&C, the firm has been busily expanding its emerging markets debt team, this week hiring fund manager Diliana Deltcheva from ING Investment Management. She now reports to Jonathan Mann, the recently-appointed head of emerging markets debt, who was promoted from senior fund manager to the role last month.
