Consulting Consortium Appoints Technical Director From FCA

The UK regulatory and compliance consultancy has boosted its advisory capabilities.
The Consulting Consortium has appointed Phil Deeks to the newly-created role of technical director within its advisory team.
With almost 20 years’ experience in risk, regulation, compliance and conduct, Deeks joins TCC from the UK’s Financial Conduct Authority, where he was a technical specialist within the life insurance and financial advice sector. Before that, he held senior compliance roles at Deloitte and Legal & General.
Based in London, Deeks will be responsible for technical oversight of client projects, research into regulatory requirements and expectations, and providing support in developing advisory strategies and business relationships.
“Phil is a key strategic addition to the advisory team and brings with him invaluable knowledge and experience within culture and conduct risk that will add exceptional value to our clients. His appointment reflects our commitment to the industry and supports our vision in guiding our clients to a future where company culture governs conduct,” said Darrell Evans, chief executive at TCC.
Deeks’ appointment follows two recent additions to TCC’s board this summer. In June, Matt Hodey became director of strategy and markets, while Andy Sutherland joined as managing director of advisory services.
