Vistra, the business
services provider, has secured clearance from the Central Bank of
Ireland to provide fund administration services from
Ireland.
As part of the build-out of its fund administration network, the
firm said Vistra Funds Services (Ireland) has appointed Aimee
Gill, chief executive and head of fund accounting, Paul
McDonald, head of investor services, and Jacqueline Evbodaghe,
head of risk and compliance.
As a European Union member state, Ireland’s status as a funds hub
giving access across the EU bloc was paradoxically underscored by
the UK’s vote to leave the Union in 2016.
“Ireland is an integral hub for the investment funds industry and
an important gateway between our clients in the US, UK, and
Europe, as well as a jurisdiction increasingly on the radar of
those based in Asia,” Cliona O'Faolain, managing director, Vistra
Ireland, said.
