Ogier Global, the corporate and fiduciary services division of
Ogier, has been granted
a Class I Trust Licence by the British Virgin Islands Financial
Services Commission. Ogier said the licence substantially expands
the range of fiduciary services it can provide to clients in the
BVI.
Ogier Global is now authorised to act as trustee and to provide registered agent services to private trust companies (PTCs) and to act as trustee to VISTA trusts – distinctive BVI structures that permit trustees to hold shares in underlying companies without becoming involved in day-to-day management. The licence enables Ogier Global to offer greater flexibility in trust and governance structures to clients seeking to retain a higher degree of involvement in trust administration, the firm said in a statement.
“This development further enhances our capabilities in the BVI, enabling our team to evolve client services in line with the highest regulatory standards and to continue supporting clients as international private wealth structures become increasingly complex,” said Monique Adams, managing director of Ogier Global in BVI.
