Comerica Expands Wealth Management Team

Dallas-based Comerica Bank, which has a wealth management arm, has added two new wealth management advisors to its team in Fort Worth, Texas, Fort Worth Business Press reports.
Jay Bartley and Elizabeth Elgie have been appointed senior vice presidents and senior wealth advisors at the company’s Fort Worth office. Individuals from the city’s non-profit and energy industries form a key part of the wealth management group’s clientele, says the report.
Mr Bartley and Ms Elgie both have over two decades of experience in wealth management, as well as knowledge of the Fort Worth banking market, having served together at Wells Fargo there, according to the publication.
“In Fort Worth in particular, we feel that the future is really bright here,” Ms Elgie is reported to have said. “There are still businesses being bought and sold… we have business owners who are buying and selling in the energy markets, which are really picking up. So, to be here in Fort Worth, we’re excited. It’s a perfect time to expand what we’re doing.”
Comerica Bank, which is aligned into three main business segments - business banking, retail banking and wealth management - also announced yesterday it was opening a new banking centre in Redondo Beach, California, and said it was the first of six new locations to be launched in Southern California in 2010. Comerica reported total assets of $59.3 billion at 31 December 2009.
