The asset management group said the CIO who has spent more than three decades at the firm will stand down at the end of June.
The chief investment officer of Columbia Threadneedle
Investments, William Davies, has decided to retire after 33
years’ service at the firm, it announced this week. Davies will
be retiring on 30 June.
William F "Ted" Truscott, CEO of Columbia
Threadneedle, will act as interim global CIO from 1 July
until a successor for Davies is found.
Davies joined a Columbia Threadneedle predecessor firm in 1994 as
a European equities portfolio manager. He has served in
leadership roles including head of European equities, global head
of equities, chief investment officer EMEA and, since 2022,

Truscott served as CIO for seven years, prior to his appointment
as chief executive officer in 2010.
