UK banking and investment group Close Brothers has appointed Paul Chambers as chief financial officer of its asset management division.

Mr Chambers previously worked for Lehman Brothers, where he was chief financial officer for its UK mortgage business. He started in his new London-based role on 1 January and reports to Martin Andrew, chief executive of Close Asset Management.
