Clariden Leu Names Wealth Veteran New Regional Private Banking Head

Zurich-based private bank Clariden Leu has appointed Thierry de Loriol as head of Private Banking Europe Geneva/Clariden Leu Representative Romandie, WealthBriefing can exclusively reveal.
Mr de Loriol, who takes up his role on 1 October, succeeds Ernst Klossner, who is to remain at Clariden Leu as a senior relationship manager.
Most recently Mr de Loriol was the chief executive of Sinara Capital Management, the Geneva-based asset management company. His prior career also includes having been CEO of Ferrier Lullin & Cie, the Genevan private bank, and a number of senior positions at BNP Paribas in Tokyo, Frankfurt and London.
Mr de Loriol’s appointment closely follows that of Stephan Peterhans, who will join Clariden Leu as its new head of human resources and a member of the executive board in March 2010.
