City National creates new planning unit

Ernst & Young alum gets nod to lead business-client support effort. Los Angeles-based City National Bank has made Roger Stinnett head of tax and financial planning, a new position. Stinnett, a v.p., will provide personal and business financial- and tax-planning services to entrepreneurs and professionals and their families.

He reports to Richard Byrd, executive v.p. and director of the bank's wealth-management services unit.

Stinnett comes to City National from Ernst & Young, where he was a senior manager in consultancy’s Los Angeles private-client practice. Before that he was a principal with myCFO in Century City, Calif.
