City National Bank Adds To Private Client Team

City National Bank has hired Matthew Benson as a vice president at its private client services division, focusing on high net worth clients, mainly based in downtown Los Angeles and the San Gabriel Valley.

Mr Benson will oversee client service and retention, business development and investment management for the bank's high net worth clients. He will report to Scott Witter, senior vice president and manager of City National's private client services division in Los Angeles.

Mr Benson joins from US Trust-Bank of America, Private Wealth Management in Pasadena, and has also previously worked at Wells Fargo.

“As a certified financial planner with significant investments and trust experience, Matt will be a great addition to our team,” said Mr Witter.

City National Bank has $18.4 billion in total assets and provides banking, investment and trust services through 64 offices, including 16 full-service regional centres, in Southern California, the San Francisco Bay Area, Nevada and New York City.
