Citizens ex-CIO becomes HNW PM at Washington Trust

Gladding joins trust company's wealth-management unit as investment officer. Kent Gladding, formerly president and CIO of Providence, R.I.-based Citizens Bank, has joined Westerly, R.I.-based Washington Trust as v.p. and investment officer to manage investment portfolios for clients of the bank's wealth-management unit.

Gladding has been in the financial-service industry for more than two decades. He led Citizens' investment division, which managed more than $4.6 billion in assets, and served as portfolio manager for the banks high-net-worth and institutional clients. Prior to joining Royal Bank of Scotland-owned Citizens, he worked at Fleet Financial (now part of Bank of America).
