Citigroup Appoints New Singapore Country Head

Citigroup has appointed Michael Zink, a US national, as its new country head for Citi Singapore, media reports said.

Zink will be in charge of the US bank’s institutional clients group, consumer banking and global cards, plus its global wealth management businesses in the city state, reports said.

Citigroup did not immediately return calls from this publication seeking confirmation of the reports.

Reports said Zink replaces former country head and chief executive of Citibank Singapore Jonathan Larsen, who left for Hong Kong last October to head Citi's Asia-Pacific consumer banking and global cards business. Zink starts in his new post on 1 May.
