Citi Private Bank has hired Perry Brown from Northern Trust as a private banker and managing director in Palm Beach, Florida.

Brown held various roles at Northern Trust since joining the firm in 1999. Most recently he was a managing director in Wealth Advisory Services for the Palm Beach region. Before Northern Trust he was a relationship manager at Wachovia. At Citi he reports to Mark Maller, head of the company's private bank in Florida.

“We are deeply committed to Florida and are pleased to welcome Perry as we continue to expand our presence throughout the state,” said Maller.

Last year the firm opened an office in Boca Raton; it also has offices in Miami and Palm Beach, and says it has been hiring across all three of these offices over the past year.
