Citi Private Bank continued its September hiring drive with the appointment of Daniel Batista as managing director and ultra high net worth banker for the New Jersey office.

Batista is from JP Morgan where he served as managing director and private banker in Morristown, New Jersey. Prior to that, he was a financial consultant with Merrill Lynch.

In his new role, he will be based in Short Hills and will report to Paul Hubert, head of the East Coast region for Citi Private Bank. 

It has been an active month for the bank in North America, which has hired three senior executives prior to this appointment. These include Russ Labrasca as managing director and head of the Houston office, Robert Laughlin as MD and head of Citi Trust, North America, and Diane Blondeau as a private banker based in Canada.
