Citi Quilter To Provide Portfolio Management To IFA Partnership

London-based Citi Quilter, part of US financial services firm Citi, has entered an exclusive arrangement whereby the wealth manager will provide both its discretionary and managed portfolio services to members of Paradigm Partners.

Paradigm Partners, which was launched in 2007, is a limited liability partnership which offers member IFA firms the opportunity to share in the business’ capital growth via discretionary trusts. To date over 200 IFA firms are members.

Citi Quilter’s discretionary portfolio service is a tailored investment management service, with a minimum portfolio size of £200,000 (around $296,000). Its managed portfolio service offers investors access to a range of collective investments and a choice of seven strategies; here, the minimum portfolio size is £25,000.

The Citi Quilter service is designed to complement the advisor’s work, allowing the client and advisor to maintain control of the overall financial strategy, Paradigm said in a statement, adding that Citi Quilter does not operate as an IFA.

“By opting for these services advisors have the dual benefit of keeping full control of their client’s investment strategy while at the same time taking advantage of Citi Quilter’s unrivalled expertise in discretionary management,” said Paul Hogarth, chief executive of Paradigm Partners.

Citi Quilter’s clients include private individuals, charities, trusts and pension funds. At 31 December 2008 the firm’s funds under management totalled approximately £5.1 billion.

Paradigm Group is a compliance and business support consultancy for IFAs. Partner members of the group are offered access to: Paradigm Partnership, Paradigm Compliance Services, Paradigm Investment Management, Paradigm Wrap, and Paradigm Mortgage Services - all of which are supported by the Paradigm IT Support Suite.
