Citi has hired Tracy Browne and Adam Proctor into its UK private banking team, effective January and March 2008 respectively. Ms Browne and Mr Proctor, who both join as directors, will report to Peter Charrington, managing director for Citi Private Bank in the UK. Since 2002, Ms Browne has been a senior private banker at Coutts in London, with responsibility for around 80 clients with exposure to a full range of products including hedge funds, private equity, structured products, tax advisory services, mortgages and credit facilities, currency management, strategic philanthropy and trusts. Mr Proctor joins from Barclays Private Bank, where in May 2005 he was appointed to Barclay’s UK team as a private banker. Mr Charrington said: “The UK is a priority market for Citi Private Bank. We are at an exciting stage of investment and growth, having successfully expanded our UK business.”
