Citibank has announced the appointment of Mayank Malik as chief executive officer of Citibank Jordan.

Mayank is a banking veteran with around 25 years of experience within the company. He was most recently the CEO of Citibank Bahrain. In his new role Mayank takes over from Ziyad Akrouk, who has been named CEO of Citibank Kuwait.

Citi has been present in the Arab world for nearly 50 years and believes the region is critical to its global franchise. Worldwide, it has some 200 million customer accounts across more than 100 countries.
