Citi India Unveils First Smart Banking Branch

Citibank India is set to open its very first smart banking branch in the country.

The initiative is part of an ongoing strategy that aims to expand its suite of services in general banking, wealth management, loans and credit cards. The highlight of the branch is a media wall, which may be used to display information and interact with clients through a touch-screen capability, as well as a workbench where customers may do banking transactions independently.

Citibank currently has a branch network of 42 full service offices across 30 Indian cities. The introduction of smart banking facilities underlines the firm's commitment to investing in technology for a more client-centric banking experience.

Its other branches will gradually be converted into smart banking branches over the next months.
