Citi Eases Real Estate Investment for Dubai-based NRIs

Non-resident Indians living in the Middle East now have more
opportunities to invest onshore through
Citibank's unique home loan products offered exclusively to
non-resident Indians.
Over the weekend of 9-11 October, Citibank hosted the IndiaHome
Property Exhibition in Dubai, which opens doors for NRIs to
obtain first-hand information on the range of realty
opportunities available in their home country. The exhibition,
which was held at the Wafi City Raffles Hotel, showcased the
offerings of prominent builders from all over India.
"Owning a home in India is long-cherished desire of all NRIs
worldwide. However, the distance from the purchase location can
be discouraging," said Ashish Mehrotra, head of consumer assets
for Citibank India in a statement. "We are confident that [this
exhibition' will serve as a convenient interface for NRIs with
India's reputed real estate developers and help make the purchase
process seamless."
Citibank's NRI Business, offering comprehensive wealth management
services, operates from over 74 centres around the world and
manages assets worth over $8 billion.
