Citi is expanding its Asian office network in the next year as it seeks to cater to more Asian corporate clients from worldwide.

The bank currently has 13 desks in the region and is set to open six more in the next 12 months, including four China desks in Africa, Latin America, Russia and South East Asia, and two Korean desks in South East Asia and Latin America.

These will support the firm's Chinese and Korean multinational clients across corporate banking, investment banking, local debt raising, foreign exchange, trade finance and cash management.

Citi presently has six Korean desks in New York, Beijing, Chennai, Shanghai, Bratislava and Moscow and seven China desks in London, Dubai, Singapore, Hong Kong, Algiers, New York and Johannesburg.
