CIMB Expands Wealth Management Operations in Singapore

Malaysia's CIMB Bank has launched a new branch in Singapore primarily to cater to wealth management, private banking and corporate banking customers. The new branch is located at Singapore Land Tower. “With the launch, CIMB Group now operates as a universal bank in Singapore as well as Malaysia and Indonesia,” the bank said in a statement. CIMB Bank received its full Singapore banking licence and started operations last November following the formal completion of its merger with Southern Bank Bhd. Under the terms of the new licence, it is allowed to operate from two branches.
