China Regulator Signs MoU With Bank Negara Malaysia

The China Banking Regulatory Commission and Bank Negara Malaysia have jointly announced the signing of a memorandum of agreement that deepens cooperation on banking supervision.

The MoU, which was signed by Liu Mingkang, the chairman of CBRC, and Tan Sri Dr Zeti Akhtar Azia, the governor of Bank Negara, includes the sharing of information between the two regulatory authorities, as well as mutual promotion of regional financial integration.

The agreement is part of the Joint Action Plan on Malaysia - China Strategic Cooperation between the Government of the People's Republic of China and the Government of Malaysia.
