Chase de Vere Launches Advice Service For Dentists

The independent financial advisor has partnered with Denplan to provide bespoke NHS pension advice.

Partnering with Denplan, the UK’s leading dental payment plan specialist, Chase de Vere is launching Chase de Vere Dental to provide independent financial advice to the dental profession.

The partnership will tap into Denplan’s more than 6,500 dentist members offering them specialist independent financial advice, with a particular focus on NHS pensions. It will be headed by Andrea Sproates and supported by a dedicated team of 16 independent advisors natonally, the firm said.

“We have provided exceptional financial advice and service to dental professionals for many years,” said Chase chief executive Stephen Kavanagh, and through the partnership with Denplan want to be “recognised as the ‘go to’ experts in giving financial advice to members of their profession."

A new online hub will provide dentists with information on how to get the most from their NHS pension and private pension schemes to finding the best deal on their mortgage, and ways to make “their money work harder,” the firm said.

Carving out specialist advice based on a particular profession or a life situation has become an important ancillary for some wealth managers to attract new business and differentiate themselves. This publication has written in the past about looking after the interests of sports and entertainment professionals who often have a narrow window for top-flight earnings and very tailored advisory needs. Other niche areas are advising US ex-pats on their complex tax and investment affairs, managing the financial settlement and care of those who have suffered life-changing injuries, and later life planning which is fraught with complexity.

In the case of public sector workers in the UK, such as doctors and dentists, navigating pensions is a critical part of their wealth planning.

“We know from talking to our members that NHS pensions are a real concern for them when considering whether to move to a fully private practice,” Catherine Rutland, head dental officer at Denplan, said.

“Our partnership with Chase de Vere Dental will give our dentists access to top quality independent financial advice, with a particular focus on NHS pensions, to help them answer any concerns they have.”
