Charles Stanley Opens New Office On UK South Coast

The UK wealth management house has opened new premises as it expands its presence around the country, it said.

UK-headquartered wealth manager Charles Stanley has opened a new office in Southampton. This comes after the firm, as reported by WealthBriefing in December, merged its Reading and Oxford operations to open a new office in Botley.

The office houses ten staff and offers financial planning services, as well as services for professional intermediaries, the firm said in a statement. The site opened at the beginning of December and the firm says it will be one of the largest wealth management offices in the region.

Wealth managers and other staff from Charles Stanley’s previous Wimborne office moved to the new site at the start of December and will be joined in January by Sean Mylchreest and Nicola Smith from the Isle of Wight.

“A lot has changed in the last ten years and our previous office was out of step with client needs and modern wealth management,” said David Holmes, branch manager for Charles Stanley Southampton. “The new office in Southampton offers greater square footage, more meeting rooms, better parking and room to expand further. The new premises and enhanced service offering is what we need to best service our clients on the South Coast of England.”

In January, this publication reported that Charles Stanley had appointed two new members of staff to its intermediary sales team.
