Channel Islands Law Firm Adds Partner To Jersey Office

Channel Islands law firm Collas Crill has reinforced its fiduciary practice by appointing Mason Birbeck as a partner at its Jersey office.

Birbeck joined from Bedell Cristin and is a Jersey advocate specialising in trusts, foundations and related corporate law.

The firm said he has “extensive practical knowledge” of trust and related corporate and commercial aspects of international wealth structuring in cross-border transactions involving Jersey and other international finance centres.

Birbeck's appointment also complements the London-focused and international angle, brought to the Collas team by Edward Stone, another recent senior hire, said Jason Romer, managing partner.

In April, Angela Calnan joined Collas Crill as a specialist in estate planning for Middle Eastern entrepreneurial families.

The firm was founded in 2011 as a result of the merger of offshore law firms Collas Day and Crill Canavan.
