CFA Institute Names New EMEA Education Head

The Chartered Financial Analyst Institute has appointed Kate Lander as head of education for the Europe, Middle East and Africa region, recruiting her from Northern Trust in London.

Kate Lander replaces Ed Bace, who left the Institute earlier this year.

Her role involves developing alliances with external business partners such as academic and industry professionals, CFA society leaders, investment practitioners and regulators. She will also serve as a spokesperson for the Institute's range of educational programmes.

Most recently, Lander was transition manager specialist, senior vice president at Northern Trust in London.  Prior to this, she was head of fixed income, securities lending at Northern Trust Global Investments; product manager, equity finance at JP Morgan; and product manager at Northern Trust Global Investments.
