Central Ohio financial planner expands ownership

Seven-year staffer Schuman is named a shareholder of Budros, Ruhlin & Roe. Columbus, Ohio-based Budros, Ruhlin & Roe has made John Schuman a shareholder of the firm. The fee-based financial-planning firm says the move solidifies its leadership position in central Ohio.
"John's expertise in numerous areas, including executive compensation, estate planning, income tax issues, and wealth transfer strategies have made him an invaluable member of our lead management team," says Budros, Ruhlin & Roe principal Jim Budros. "Ownership in our firm recognizes his many contributions."
Schuman joined Budros, Ruhlin & Roe in 2001 from Deloitte & Touche, where he was a senior manager in the professional-service firm's private-client group. Before that, he was an attorney with Squire, Sanders & Dempsey in Columbus.
Schuman specializes in estate and wealth-transfer planning as well as general business and succession planning.
Budros, Ruhlin & Roe, which was established in 1979, has $1.4 billion in assets under management. -FWR
