Carson Wealth Management Brings In CIO

Carson Wealth Management Group has completed the launch of its registered investment advisory firm, CWM, and has brought in Rob Isbitts as chief investment officer.

As reported in May, Ron Carson, founder and chief executive of Carson Wealth Management Group, was formerly a top advisor with LPL Financial who decided to launch an RIA earlier this year. LPL Financial now serves as the primary custodian of the RIA firm, and there are also custodial relationships in place with TD Ameritrade and Charles Schwab Institutional.

The Omaha-based investment and wealth management firm has over $3 billion in assets under management, with a focus on individuals with at least $2 million in investable assets. Isbitts will be instrumental in CWM’s investment strategy and portfolio selection.

Carson’s decision to launch an RIA was greeted with approval from LPL.

“Nothing gives us more pride than seeing our advisors’ businesses expand and develop in exciting new directions. Ron’s evolution in becoming one of our top advisors has been a remarkable 20-year journey,” said Bill Dwyer, president, national sales and marketing at LPL Financial.
