Carmignac Adds Former NYC-Based Manager To Team In London

This publication brings further news about hires and departures in the wealth management world.

Carmignac has added David Older to its ranks as a fund manager, having spent the past 12 years at SAC Capital/Point72 Advisors in New York, most recently as co-sector head of the communications, media, internet and technology group.

In his new role, Older will work in London, along with Edouard Carmignac – founder of the business - and take charge of the global fund exposure to communications, media, internet and IT; he will also generate investment ideas for other portfolios.

Prior to SAC Capital/Point72, he was an investment banking associate in the communications and media group at Morgan Stanley.

Founded in 1989, Carmignac oversees more than €55 billion ($61.2 billion) of assets under management and operates from London, Frankfurt, Luxembourg, Milan, Madrid and Zurich.
