CapGen Appoints Global Strategist

The private investment group serving ultra-high net worth families has boosted its research capabilities.
London-based Capital Generation Partners has appointed Alex Waters as global strategist.
Waters joins from Roubini Global Economics, where he was responsible for the firm’s global forecasting efforts, as well as macroeconomic and monetary policy research. Before that, he worked at the UK Debt Management Office.
Reporting to CapGen’s founding partners, Waters will be responsible for developing macroeconomic analysis, drawing on a range of data sources to inform the firm’s investment decisions.
“Recent market volatility underscores the importance of intelligent research to inform our investment approach. Alex’s capabilities in macroeconomic analysis will help us remain committed to delivering relevant, bespoke investment advice to our clients,” said Khaled Said, managing partner at CapGen.
CapGen provides asset allocation, investment selection, due diligence and performance reporting services on a discretionary and an advisory basis to ultra-high net worth families and endowments. It has over $2.5 billion of assets under advisory.
