Canaccord Wealth Targets Newcastle

UK wealth manager Canaccord Wealth has opened a new office, highlighting how UK and international wealth management firms are continuing to expand their regional footprints.

Canaccord Wealth has just announced that it has relocated its team in Newcastle to an ultra-modern, purpose-built office.

The offices in Strawberry Place are in the heart of Newcastle's financial district, near the newly-developed metro station.

The move also follows the recent upgrading of Canaccord Wealth’s regional offices in Birmingham and Guernsey.

Other UK firms have also been extending their regional footprint: Raymond James recently opened a new branch in Newcastle upon Tyne and Cazenove Capital, part of the Schroders Group, recently opened new offices Birmingham

“This is a very exciting time for Canaccord Wealth because we are investing for growth,” Duncan Stratford, UK managing director at Canaccord Wealth, said. “To further drive our growth and enhance our capabilities in Newcastle, we recently welcomed three key hires: wealth planner, Samantha Gibson; investment director, Lorraine Armstrong; and investment manager, Peter Douglas. Their expertise, leadership and local knowledge will be instrumental as we continue to expand our presence and deliver exceptional value to our clients.”

Canaccord Genuity Wealth Management UK (CGWM UK), which has £35.2 billion ($44.6 billion) of assets under management, has offices that span the UK and the Crown Dependencies. In Scotland, the firm operates under the Adam & Company brand.
