California-Based Private Bank Hires New MD In Boston

San Francisco-headquartered First Republic Bank has hired Lance Mackey as a managing director for its Boston office.
Mackey joins from Citizens Bank, and has also worked at firms including Bank of America, JP Morgan Chase, and The Boston Company before this appointment.
The appointment is part of the bank’s continued expansion in Boston, said Katherine August-deWilde, president and chief operating officer of First Republic Bank.
The firm has made a number of hires of late, bringing in Brian McNamee as a managing director and Gene Martino as a portfolio manager and managing director in New York City over the last two weeks.
First Republic provides private banking, private business banking, and private wealth management services. Founded in 1985, its private wealth business has around $18.5 billion assets under management, as of 30 September.
