Brown Shipley Names New Head Of Compliance

UK wealth manager Brown Shipley, a Quintet Private Bank, makes senor hire.
Brown Shipley has just appointed Paul Williams (pictured) as head of compliance, based in London.
Williams, who is succeeding Kelvin Clough, has product, compliance and conduct experience gained over the past 20 years at firms, including GE Money, Lloyds Banking Group and HSBC. His skillset covers retail, wealth management, and commercial banking businesses.
Most recently, Williams was group head of wholesale conduct and standards at HSBC responsible for the design, implementation and maintenance of HSBC’s conduct framework. He previously served as UK head of compliance for their retail businesses and commercial banking, the firm said in a statement.
Williams reports to Robert Kitchen, Brown Shipley’s new chief executive who was appointed last week, and Simon Spilsbury, Quintet group head of compliance.
"We are committed to delivering the highest standard of service to our clients. Our strategy for success includes investing in a first-class team, and we are proud to add Paul’s wealth of expertise to Compliance,” Kitchen said.
Brown Shipley has offices in London, Manchester, Birmingham, Cambridge, Leeds, Edinburgh, Norwich and Nottingham.
