The UK wealth manager continues a build out of its regional presence.
Quintet Private Bank-owned Brown Shipley has
made a raft of new hires across the Eastern UK region, including
an ex-Barclays regional director.
Simon Smith, who is joining as managing director, Brown
Shipley, has 34 years of industry experience. Smith was
most recently regional director, East region, at Barclays Wealth
& Investment Management.
Brown Shipley has also appointed eight additional client advisors
who join Smith: Kevin Nevard, Paul Marshall, Mark Turner,
David Vernon, Luke Caraccio, Warren George, Mark Harrod and James
Haynes, all of whom have extensive experience of providing advice
to private clients, most recently with Barclays Wealth &
Investment Management.
They will all support the continued expansion of the existing
Brown Shipley team in Cambridge, Norwich and across the East of
England, with the hires forming part of the firm’s growth
strategy to add further scale and unlock additional regional
opportunities, it said in a statement.
“These hires demonstrate our ongoing commitment to investing in
talent and our long-term strategy in the East of England. Our new
client advisors have extensive wealth management experience and
will support our development in the region as we continue to
offer exceptional wealth management,” Calum Brewster, chief
executive officer of Brown Shipley, said.
“I am excited to be joining Brown Shipley and look forward to
contributing to its continuing success and growth across the East
of England,” Smith said.
The UK wealth management firm appointed Brewster, a Julius Baer
and Barclays veteran, as CEO in January.
