Brooks Macdonald Retirement Services, an offshore subsidiary of UK-listed wealth manager Brooks Macdonald, has appointed Damian Wallen as employee benefits consultant in its Guernsey office.

Wallen, with more than 16 years’ experience in financial services, was latterly head of financial planning at SPF Private Clients. Before that, Wallen served at HSBC Bank, having joined as a trainee and departed as a financial planning manager for its wealth management division in Guernsey.

Brooks Macdonald Retirement Services is a Jersey- and Guernsey-based provider of independent retirement planning advice. There are 27 staff based in Brooks Macdonald’s Guernsey office, two of whom are employed by Brooks Macdonald Retirement Services.

Brooks Macdonald Group had £4.97 billion (around $7.8billion) in funds under management, as at 31 March 2013.
