Macdonald International has appointed Darren Zaman as chief
executive of its offshore business.
Zaman replaces John Davey, who has chosen to step down from his
current role to pursue other business interests, Brooks Macdonald
said in a statement.
Zaman was previously the chief executive of DPZ Capital, the
Jersey-based wealth management business acquired by BMI in April
2014.
Davey will continue to work with the business over the next two
years as a consultant, supporting Zaman in completing the
integration of DPZ.
Zaman founded DPZ in 2007 and was previously the managing
director of HSBC Investments and Le Masurier James and Chinn,
where he was responsible for international fund management teams
based in Jersey and London.
“I’d like to thank John for the significant role he has played in
establishing the Brooks Macdonald business on an international
scale and for his role in bringing DPZ into the Group,” said
Chris Macdonald, chief executive officer of Brooks Macdonald
Group.
“He and his team have provided us with a strong platform for
growth and I have every confidence that Darren will continue this
good work, capitalising on the opportunities available as we look
to reach to a new and wider client base for the Brooks Macdonald
offering,” he added.
