Bridge Advisors debuts options consulting service

AOS subsidiary sets out to work with high-end advisors and family offices. Chicago-based Bridge Advisors, a brand-new investment advisory, is out of the gate with a options-strategy consulting service for financial advisors and their clients as well as family offices and institutional managers.
Concentration
"Options were originally developed to help professional traders and institutional money managers manage portfolio and position risk as they traded millions of shares of stock," says Mike Westmoreland, Bridge Advisors' head of investment strategies. "From enhancing income to protecting a concentrated, long-term holding, we help clients adopt conservative option strategies to their core holdings to improve performance and manage volatility risk."
Bridge Advisors is initially providing three overlay programs. The Portfolio Income program aims to generate a consistent income and mitigate risk by writing options every month. The Leveraged Entry program has less market exposure overall, benefiting instead from the direction of a particular stock, index or ETF. The Concentrated Position program -- of particular interest to corporate executives, Bridge Advisors figures -- is meant to generate income and reduce risk in an existing, long-term holding.
So far the Concentrated Position program is garnering particular interest on the part of corporations and family offices alike, says Westmoreland.
