Bramdean Asset Management, the asset management firm run by Nicola Horlick, plans to launch an alternative investment fund, according to a report in Financial News. The report said the fund might be backed by Man Group and will take positions on a wide range of alternative investments, including fine art and wine. Last May Bramdean was given the go-ahead by the Irish Financial Services Authority to launch five hedge funds in Dublin. And last November, Bramdean launched a new wealth management service aimed specifically at women, known as Bramdiva.
