B Capital, a boutique investment firm with offices in Geneva and London, has hired Omar Tarbush as regional market head for the Middle East.

Based in Geneva, Tarbush’s principal responsibility will include delivering family office solutions to clients in the Middle East. He will also help build out business in the region, in order to meet growing demand and opportunities, according to the firm.

“Due to recent developments in the region families are increasingly seeking independent management of their family assets from Swiss-based investment firms,” said founder and group managing director Lorne Baring, when commenting on the hire.

Tarbush joins B Capital from a prominent Middle Eastern family office, where he spent 17 years conducting wealth planning, asset management, capital investment, financial consolidation and corporate governance services for multimillion-dollar clients.

With this latest appointment, B Capital has made two senior hires in the third quarter of 2013, as part of its on-going expansion in advisory services to high net worth individuals and their families.
