BofA Merrill’s Research Arm Joins iPad App Fray

Bank of America Merrill Lynch’s global research arm has joined the growing list of financial services firms launching Apple iPad applications.

Its Research Library iPad application allows clients to search, browse and download investment recommendations, insights and other proprietary research.

“Our app offers a highly tailored experience that will enhance the way they discover and pursue new investment ideas generated by our global team of more than 800 research professionals,” said Candace Browning, head of BofA Merrill Lynch Global Research.

The BofA Merrill Lynch Global Research Library iPad app provides interaction with the full breadth of the group’s offerings, including most/least preferred lists, equity and fixed income indices, portfolios, recommendations on individual securities, industry outlooks, market outlooks and forecasts, asset allocation strategies, and investment strategies.

The application for the iPad can be downloaded for free from the Apple App Store for clients with an account on the Bank of America Merrill Lynch Global Markets Portal.

JP Morgan recently unveiled an Apple iPad application, which gives clients access to the bank’s research.

Earlier this year Citi Private Bank launched an application called Citi Private Bank Mobile, designed exclusively for the private bank’s ultra high net worth clients.
