Daniel Sauter, currently chairman of the board of directors of Alpine Select and a board member of several other Swiss companies, is to be elected to the board of Julius Baer at the bank’s annual general meeting in April. "A professional, decisive and independent board of directors is indispensable for the successful development of our group. We therefore consider ourselves fortunate that Daniel Sauter, who has extensive international contacts and a wealth of experience in the financial sector, can be proposed to the annual general meeting for first-time election," said Raymond Baer, chairman of the board of directors at Julius Baer. Separately, Daniel Borel will not stand for re-election to the Julius Baer board when his second term ends. He has been a member of the bank’s board since 2001.
