BoA Family Office Unit Taps HSBC Private Bank Team in New York

Family Wealth Advisors, part of the private banking unit at Bank of America, is creating a new team “to better serve Bank of America's wealthiest clients in New York and surrounding areas”. Senior wealth consultants Heather Kirby and Nina McElroy will lead a team of bankers, wealth strategists and client service specialists, which will also include Tara Malloy, wealth consultant; Richard Fuller, wealth consultant; Shain Reece, relationship associate; and Portia Hooks, relationship associate. This new team is in addition to FWA’s two existing New York-based teams, led by Jane Heller and John McGuinness. Ms Kirby joins from HSBC Private Bank, where she served hedge fund managers and investors in alternative asset classes. She began her career at US Trust and spent four years with Citibank. Ms McElroy comes from the same HSBC stable, where she was responsible for developing and managing client relationships; before that, she worked at Citibank Private Bank. Family Wealth Advisors was launched in April 2005; it has teams in the Houston, Los Angeles, Miami, New York and San Francisco metropolitan areas and continues to expand across the US.
