BNY Mellon WM Hires Sales Director In Maryland

BNY Mellon Wealth Management has appointed John Stroud as vice president and sales director in its Bethesda, Maryland office - a newly-created role in which Stroud reports to Byron Clark, managing director of the mid-Atlantic region.

The hire is part of the firm’s national expansion strategy.

“We continue to reinvest in our business by adding professional talent to better serve our clients and the wealthy individuals and families across our region,” Clark said in a statement.

Stroud joins BNY Mellon from Iris Capital Partners, where he was responsible for the firm’s US-based mergers and acquisitions research, sales, operations and relationship development. Prior to this, he was a vice president and wealth advisor at Neuberger Berman’s Washington office. Previously, he was a senior vice president with Bank of America’s private bank and a managing director at Riggs Bank.
